Description:Plants producing spores, sporangia aggregated in terminal spikes. Stems articulate, sheated at each node, erect consisting of hollow internodes, with small sessile squamiform leaves in vertills, often scarious. The only living genus in the Equisetaceae. Genus not yet in Flora of China online.
