Description: | Stems perennial,caespitose, 10-25 cm high, very thin, 0.5- 0.75 mm in diameter, few branches, forming tufts. Stems with only 3 ribs, without central cavity, sexangular. Stem vaginae with 3 teeth. Sporiferous spikes oval, acute. |

Comments: | The smallest species of the genus. Distinguished by its low, slender, less branched stems and its small size. |
