Description:Shrub 0.8-1.5 m tall. Branches with white pith. Young branches glabrous. Leaves small, 1-3 cm long, ovate or short acuminate. Corolla yellowish, bilabiate, 10-14 mm long. Berries in dichasia, connate up to tip or up to 2/3 into a syncarp, orange-red.
