Description: | Plants forming ± dense mats with tunica ± 2 cm long. Leaves 6-10 cm long, glaucous, pinnate, segments divided into 2 -3 oblong-elliptic lobes, ± distant and spreading, mostly with very sparse bristles or almost glabrous. Peduncles 10-20 cm long, with very few white appressed bristles. Flower bud 7 mm long, obovate-elliptic, glabrous or with single bristles. Flower light-yellow, in bud orange, not more than 2 cm diam. Capsule narrowly clavate, ± 10 mm long, with light bristles, stigmatic rays 5-6, disc conical. |
Tax. Comments: | The identification of these plants with the Middle Asiatic P. tenellum Tolm. needs further confirmation. The Mongolian plants proved to be diploids (2n=14). |
